Whether you are becoming a mother for the first time or the fifth time, one of the most significant contributors to the success and enjoyment of breastfeeding is the support for your decision to do so from those around you. Come get answers to your questions, share your experiences and find or lend a sympathetic ear in a friendly and supportive environment. We discuss everything from breastfeeding your newborn, to pumping, to going back to work, as well as more general topics such as infant behavior, sleep patterns, soothing fussy babies and starting solids. Breastfeeding isn’t just about feeding your baby!
We welcome all new mothers and their nursing babies, whether exclusively breastfeeding, partially breastfeeding, pumping and feeding, or navigating the weaning process. A scale is available to weigh your baby.
This weekly drop-in group is facilitated by Tara Stivers, a board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC), certified doula, prenatal/parent educator, and mom.
No registration is required. There is no fee to attend, however a donation of $5 – $10 is appreciated to help cover costs.
This class is designed for new and expecting moms/parents to learn everything about Babywearing. When done safely, Babywearing can offer many physical and emotional benefits for both the parent and the baby. It can help ease a woman’s transition into motherhood and help her baby thrive and be happier. Come learn more from Ivonne Gonzalez of “Hip Mommy.”
There will be some time at the end of the class for parents to try on different carriers and receive hands on help.
Please register in advance through Hip Mommy http://www.hipmommy.com/product-p/csbw101120912.htm
You can pay online, or pay at the class.
