* “Learn Mindfulness Meditation” is a science-based, secular class.

Why spend 10 weeks of your life immersing yourself in Mindfulness?

There are literally hundreds of scientific studies showing how Mindfulness Meditation can benefit your physical and emotional health, including keeping your brain robust and healthy. These positive results were all gained by people who actually practiced Mindfulness Meditation on a daily basis, not simply read an article on Facebook, or attended a talk once and got an intellectual idea about Mindfulness. Like many things in life, the benefits of Mindfulness come by making the time to apply ourselves to this transformative work.

What happens in Audrey’s “Learn Mindfulness Meditation” Course?

 
Audrey’s approach to Mindfulness has provided structure and support for hundreds of group participants to make Mindfulness an ongoing part of their lives.

For 10 weeks, you will:

  • Meet once per week with Audrey for lecture, spirited and friendly discussion, and in-class practice of the week’s Mindfulness Meditation homework.
  • Practice meditation daily with a guided meditation track provided in online format, or with a CD, both provided by Audrey and included in cost of course.
  • Read 10 – 12 pages of information relating to the upcoming week’s practices. Supplemental reading is also provided for those who want to know more.
  • Practice fun and illuminating Mindfulness exercises throughout your day at home and at work.
  • Be part of an ongoing Mindful Meditators group which stays in touch to share information and inspiration, and get together for “Mindful Meet-ups” and ongoing practice.

Homework?
I thought I was going to relax?

All homework is entirely optional – we don’t check it… However, in the words of Jon Kabat-Zinn – “Meditation is not relaxation spelled differently.” While our participants do report feeling more relaxed and at ease, sleeping better and relating better with family and at work… this did not come from laying down, zoning out and getting a massage (which is a wonderful thing to do also… but different). It’s natural in our busy lives to feel like we just don’t have time to fit in one more thing. Our participants and people the world over will tell you that applying yourself to truly understand and embody the practice of Mindfulness will help you live your busy life differently, with less reactivity, stress and worry, and greater emotional resilience, productivity and joy. The time you spend initially will pay off handsomely going forward!

Once your course registration is received, you’ll receive a Welcome letter, with information about pre-reading before the course begins, and a link to our online guided meditations. Doing the interesting and informative pre-reading provides a basic understanding of the concept of Mindfulness and the scientific research on the benefits of Mindfulness Meditation, and really primes you to walk into the group ready to learn and practice.

Please Note: A welcome letter with detailed course instructions including how to access materials will be sent to you within 24 hours. It contains both a free Soundcloud link for your guided meditations.

The price also includes two textbooks that, by default, will be mailed to you.  On the registration page, under the “Additional Mindfulness information” section, please choose either to have the book delivered to you from Amazon, or you plan to get the Kindle  version.

Cancellation Policy: If you choose to cancel for any reason:

  • 30+ days from workshop start, your fee will be refunded, minus $10 credit card and processing fees.
  • Within 30 days of the workshop, we cannot refund fees. A credit will be issued which can be used by you or someone else for a future “Learn Mindfulness Meditation” session.
  • Once the workshop has started, we cannot issue a refund or credit for the course.
